Desktop (Main Screen) is missing at startup

Issue

You try to open Sage 100 Contractor and the desktop screen is either totally invisible or only a small portion of the screen is visible. You cannot move the screen or log in.

Cause

The Sage 100 Contractor desktop screen is positioned off your Window's desktop. This can happen when another user, that has 2 monitors, moves the Sage 100 desktop screen to their second monitor and then exits the application. The Sage 100 desktop screen position settings are global for all users.

Solution

#1: If a small portion of the screen is visible

  • Click the ESC (Excape key - in the top left corner of your keyboard)
  • Click NO - to the message "Exit Sage 100 Contractor?"
  • Grab one of the edges of the screen and move the screen

#2: If a small portion of the screen is NOT visible

  • Click the ESC (Excape key - in the top left corner of your keyboard)
  • Click YES - to the message "Exit Sage 100 Contractor?"

#2 is not a solution.
If application starts off screen. Hover over thumbnail, move mouse to window preview, right click, select 'Maximize'

this is only a work around.
